How is this different from the MWD Growth Platform?
The Growth Platform is our core offering: a unified CRM, marketing, and operations system for service businesses. These additional services are deeper technical engagements. Custom software, purpose-built WordPress plugins, and IT support. Some clients use both. Some only need the additional services. You can pick what fits.
Do you work with businesses outside Charlotte?
Yes. We're based in Charlotte, NC, but we work with clients across the country. Software builds, plugin development, and automation work are handled remotely with regular video check-ins. IT help is typically remote too, usually over a screen share or a video call, which works fine for the kind of account audits, privacy checks, and device help we provide.
What technologies do you build with?
We pick the right tool for the job rather than forcing every project into one stack. For custom software, that typically means modern JavaScript frameworks, Python, or PHP depending on the fit. For WordPress plugins, we work in native WordPress architecture with PHP and JavaScript. For automations, we primarily use N8N because it's flexible, self-hostable, and connects to almost anything with an API. For cloud services we're fluent across Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and major consumer platforms.
How do you price project work?
Most software and plugin work is fixed-bid based on a defined scope. After our scoping conversation, we write a proposal with a firm number, a firm timeline, and clearly stated assumptions. If the scope expands during the project, we quote the addition separately. N8N automations are priced per workflow. IT help is hourly with a minimum session length, and we quote small projects like cloud security audits upfront.
Can you work with an existing codebase or team?
Often yes. We regularly come in to build something new alongside an existing codebase, or augment an in-house development team on specific initiatives. We always start with a code review and environment audit so we understand what we're working with before making changes.
Who owns the code or plugins you build?
You do. Once a project is paid in full, the code, plugins, and documentation belong to you. We deliver everything in a format that another developer could pick up and maintain if needed. No lock-in, no hostage situations.
